The Minister of the Environment visits the installation of the CO2 SNG project

Within the SNG CO2 project, a pilot plant was built at the Łaziska power plant. It uses electricity for the production of hydrogen, which in next step with the captured carbon dioxide is used in the methanation reactor for the production of synthetic natural gas – SNG. This technology allows to reduce CO2 emission in conventional power plants and production of gaseous fuels.

The project is co-financed from KIC InnoEnergy funds. The leader of consortium, responsible for its implementation is TAURON Wytwarzanie and Exergon is also involved in the work on the project.
